I use Akismet – it’s a free plug-in and you can get a key from them after you install it. I believe it comes with WordPress.

Unfortunately, no plug-in is going to catch all spam…people keep finding ways around spam-blockers. I simply empty the spam folder, then scan through comments awaiting approval to make sure they aren’t from the same or very similar e-mail addresses and websites.

Hello, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam responses? If so how do you protect against it, any plugin or anything you can recommend? I get so much lately it’s driving me crazy so any support is very much appreciated.
