This post is a little note I wrote to myself in October of last year…just a small reminder of why we all work so hard to be able to stay home with our kids.
Sitting here waiting for my son to get home from pre-school, it suddenly occurred to me how lucky I am.
Yesterday, I got to be a parent chaperone on my son’s first field trip! The school planned a walk down the street to the local firehouse with a focus on fire safety, and I was thrilled to take the walk with my son and his classmates.
I was there to witness him being enchanted by the fireman sliding down the pole and putting on his gear, listening raptly as they discussed what to do in case of a fire, and being made the “Designated Driver” for the day and allowed to sit in the drivers’ seat! It will definitely be one of his favorite memories for years to come.
One year ago today – I would have been sitting behind a desk with my crook of a boss looking over my shoulder and not understanding what I was doing and questioning every move I made.
I am so glad I got myself out of the office and can enjoy the benefits working at home!

Couldn’t be written any better. Reading this list inform reminds me of my old chamber mate! He on all occasions kept talking to this. I last wishes as forward this article to him. Fetching sure he will be experiencing a convincing read. Thanks for the benefit of sharing!
